Kashmir 4 Nights 5 Days Tour

Tripazzi Provides Highlights of Kashmir 4 Nights 5 Days Tour

The word Kashmir comes from the ancient Sanskrit language, where it was known as kámra.

The Nilamata Purana explains how the valley arose from the waters of Sati-saras Lake.

Kashmira is a famous local etymology for land that has been dry for a long time.

According to geologists, the Valley was once a lake that drained through the Baramulla (Varahamula) gap, which corresponds to Hindu traditions.

An alternative origin attributes the name to the Vedic sage Kashyapa, who is credited with settling people in this region.

As a result, the name Kashmir comes from either kashyapa-mir (Kashyapa’s Lake) or kashyapa-meru (Kashyapa’s Mountain).

The word appears in a Hindu text mantra honouring the Hindu goddess Sharada, and it is said to have lived in the area of Kashmir, which could be a reference to the Sharada Peeth.

Kasperia was the name given to the territory by the Ancient Greeks, and it has been linked to Kaspapyros of Hecataeus of Miletus (apud Stephanus of Byzantium) and Kaspatyros of Herodotus (3.102, 4.44).

Kashmir is also thought to be the country that Ptolemy meant by Kaspeiria.

The earliest work that directly mentions the word Kashmir is Ashtadhyayi, written in the 5th century BC by Sanskrit grammarian Pini.

Kashmiris were dubbed Kashmiri as by Pini.

Other early references to Kashmir can be found in puranas such as Matsya Purana, Vayu Purana, Padma Purana, and Vishnu Purana and Vishnudharmottara Purana, as well as the Mahabharata’s Sabha Parva.

Kashmir was referred to as kia-shi-milo by Huientsang, a Buddhist scholar and Chinese traveller, while other Chinese reports referred to it as ki-pin (or Chipin or Jipin) and ache-pin.

Cashmeer is an old spelling of modern Kashmir that is still used in several countries which?

Kashmir is known in French as Cachemire, in Spanish as Cachemira, in Portuguese as Caxemira, in Catalan as Caixmir, in Latin as Casmiria, in Romanian as Caşmir, and in Occitan as Cashmir.
