Itineraries

Day 1

Jaipur

Fly to Jaipur, the pink city. Spend the day relaxing and meandering through the dimly lighted city, learning about Rajasthan's capital, which is recognised for its town planning. Evening: Attend a neighbouring village's Folk and Puppetry programme. Meet the real deal entertainers.

Day 2

Jaipur

Look up to the city palace for the flag, and if you see it, you know the Maharaja is there! Take a walk around the city and observe how it was built. You have the option of touring Amber Fort or engaging in ethical shopping at fair trade stores. Jaipur is where you will spend the night.

Day 3

Jaipur–Nawalgarh

The following morning, drive towards Rajasthan's semi-arid Shekhawati district (4 hours). Explore the culture of a rustic existence by going on a village tour.

Day 4

Nawalgarh

Make some bangles for yourself and learn how to knot and dye. Workshops will have you engrossed for the duration of the day. You'll be tempted to buy something directly from the artists.

Day 5

Nawalgarh–Khimsar

Day 6

Khimsar

Visit a neighbouring Weaver's Center, which has been involving local women from nearby villages and is financed by a local foundation. Interact with the women to learn about their backgrounds. Take it easy for the remainder of the day.

Day 7

Khimsar–Chandelao

Leave for Chandelao, a charming village where you may sample some of the best cuisine and meet some of the most interesting people, including potters, craftspeople, and folk artists. The hosts will ensure that your stay is one to remember. Take a camel-paced'sundowner' journey.

Day 8

Chandelao

You can visit the local markets in Pipar or visit a neighbouring refuge to observe migratory birds. The inhabitants will tell you about the fort's history and how the feudal system operates over lunch or dinner.

Day 9

Chandelao–Rohet

Drive to Rohetgarh (3 hours); stop at Jodhpur to see the massive Mehrangarh Fort; meander through the passages, stories, and history. Drive to Rohet through the Bishnoi villages. The Bishnois are regarded for being the first environmentalists who were willing to die to safeguard the environment. You will undoubtedly be inspired by their willpower. Rohetgarh's current kings are recognised for their friendliness and hospitality. The best Marwari horses in Rajasthan may be found in Rohetgarh's stables.

Day 10

Rohet

Take a stroll through Rohetgarh's lovely village. You may simply stroll through the neighbourhood or unwind at the hotel. If you try horseback riding, it will be an unforgettable experience.

Day 11

Rohet – Siana

Drive to Siana, a charming tiny town that is a lesser-known Rajasthani destination. The hospitality of hosts is well-known. The constellations will be your guide by evening.

Siana

Take a stroll through the village and learn about Siana's carpenter culture. See the work of a traditional carpenter by visiting their home. Drive through the dry riverbed to meet the Rabari community, the region's traditional shepherds. The sheep will keep you company while you explore the village. At dusk, go on a panther safari and then return to enjoy some astronomy.

Day 13

Siana–Udaipur

The Aravallis greet you as you approach Udaipur, and you may appreciate the various views along the journey. Take a stroll among the lakes and narrow streets, each with its own personality.

Day 14

Udaipur–Jaipur/Mumbai

Over lunch by the lake, you can reminisce about your vacation. Take a stroll through the bazaar streets and pick up some wooden toys and genuine silver jewelry. Take a train or a flight to Jaipur/Mumbai.
